Bits

Happy Friday! I am thinking about changing the name of the "Love Chronicles" photos feature to "Bits". It's shorter, simpler, and a little bit more representative. Thoughts? Retorts? That said, here are a few bits from the past week or two. It's essentially bikes, food items, and neck embellishments, which is sort of my current life in a nutshell. I'm on a 3 day weekend in order to go to Halifax for an East Coast Blogger Conference, and I am loosening my waistband extensively, as the itinerary seems to feature endless treats & drinks. This is so very supported by me. See you soon East coast girls, and a very happy weekend to each and every one of you!

This weekend we rang in my best friend Kate's 30th birthday, and in order to commemorate the milestone, we invited over all our pals for some colorful fun. We wanted to make sure we incorporated all kinds of things that Kate loves, and in the essence of being to the point, here's the list! Candy, neon, guacamole, early-mid 2000's dance hits, ice cream cake, mojitos, and photo nostalgia (not pictured: I may have made an enormous "30" on the wall out of picks from all of our collective Facebook albums). Also not pictured: me or my outfit. Love Chronicles

I have to apologize for a lack of posts this week, but the past 4 days have been nothing short of hectic and jam packed. I think I can hit the reboot button for a day on Sunday, and then dive into another busy (yet short!) work week before Easter weekend comes around. I can't wait to have a few days to catch up on some magazines & blog favorites, as well as put together outfits that don't consist of black skinnies + grey t-shirts (this week's easy to work in uniform).  It is also Kate's birthday this weekend, so expect a colorful recap of the party we are putting together for our lovely lady friend. Happy weekend, folks!

Love Chronicles: Montreal Moments

Going away with my Mum was a wonderful little break for me (thank you!), especially during these last few weeks of Winter that can sometimes feel down right crummy. I was able to take in some reading, catch up on my sleep, buy a few treats (as seen here yesterday), and spend quality time with some of my loved ones. This weekend I plan on finishing my unpacking (I'm the very wooorst for this), giving my place some t.l.c. via a cleaning spree & some re-organization, hitting up the farmer's market, and keeping things quiet. I downright promise you an outfit post on Monday! Happy weekend.

So, playing catch up after my mini-vacation has taken over my week pretty rapidly, and I'm only getting around to posting something for you today. I figured I should share a few of my Montreal finds, especially since they knocked a few items off my Spring wishlist. I unfortunately had a pretty crummy experience at Zara on my last day downtown, though, and I have got to say that it left me with a slightly sour taste regarding the store. Unfortunate but true! I also promise that I will get my butt outside for some outfits shots - it's becoming bearable out there and this weekend we spring ahead an hour, giving us a whole extra hour of light! Thank goodness.

Mini Break

Hi all. I'm away for a mini break to Montreal with my Mum and thought I would share a few snaps from the packing process for a Winter vacation. For the weekend I plan on taking in the rest of my books & magazines, catching up on some sleep, having dinner with a best pal, finding croissants, and of course, picking up some Spring duds here in the "big city" (yes, to me it is most definitely the big city). I will be back to regular blogging next week, so really, it's no time away at all! Have a fantastic weekend.
