Lessons in Layering

Jeans: Zara / Blazer: BCBG / Tunic: Mink Pink / Belt & Sunnies: Thrifted / Earrings: Little Burgundy / Shoes: ALDO

Sometimes you have an unexpected adventure in fashion. Sometimes this adventure is fuelled by having to run out the door in a flash, throwing on the only things that were directly available on the floor, and all of a sudden, there are some big life questions. Am I successfully layering? Am I keeping it real? Is this a total blunder? Do I care whatsoever? I'm not quite sure if I learned any lessons in layering here or not, but I do like mixing it up & playing with lengths and proportions, regardless of the outcome. How do you layer, my loves?

  2. I love the short jacket and longer top, sometimes when you have to put something together in a pinch it turns out awesome. Love the shoes and those jeans together!

  6. I think it's all about proportions and keeping things balanced :) You achieve this with the skinny pant and the belted over-sized shirt :)

  9. Wow, such a great example of layering and mixing different styles. When I saw the first few photos, I thought the outfit was going to be more conservative (even though that's not really your style). Well, I should have known, because as I scrolled down, I was still completely surprised. I just LOVE the mix of conservative and casual. Styled perfectly!
