Ring In

This weekend we rang in my best friend Kate's 30th birthday, and in order to commemorate the milestone, we invited over all our pals for some colorful fun. We wanted to make sure we incorporated all kinds of things that Kate loves, and in the essence of being to the point, here's the list! Candy, neon, guacamole, early-mid 2000's dance hits, ice cream cake, mojitos, and photo nostalgia (not pictured: I may have made an enormous "30" on the wall out of picks from all of our collective Facebook albums). Also not pictured: me or my outfit. I will pull the ol' blogger re-dress quite soon for you all, since I pulled out this blouse for the occasion (sneak peak on my Instagram!), and if you'd like to see what the birthday girl herself wore, head right over here.

Scooting

On Friday evening I scooted out of town to take in a fashion event hosted by Silver Daisy. I was insanely late, as the drive down consisted of the following: fog, rain, forgotten glasses, (cheeseburger), and malfunctioning gps's. Making it in one piece, I snacked on some cheese (yes, more cheese), sipped (guzzled?) some wine, and took in the evening with some blogger pals & my roomate. I forgot my camera in my fury of fluster, so please enjoy some instagrams taken by Kate (images 2, 3, 4 ) and Candice (images 1 & 5).

Guest Post at The Joy of Living

Hi friends. I'm guest posting over at Savannah's blog, The Joy of Living, today so come say hello & check out her sweet blog. Otherwise, I'm off to a fashion event tonight in a nearby city to spend time with my blog pals & take in our video colab. that I posted about here. Afterwards we are heading out for chats & cocktails and all of that standard lady stuff. Video Meet-Up at Silver Daisy!

Last weekend I hauled my tush down to another local city, Saint John, and met up with all my blogging buddies, as well as local store owner, Kate (Silver Daisy). We met to work on a small video project that was meant to showcase our love for Fall, mixing goodies from the shop with our own elements to create our own quintessentially Autumn looks. I posted a sneak peek here last week, and wanted to share a few more snaps from that day, as well as my outfit. Girl pals, laughs, a bit of frizzy hair from the rain, and lots & lotsa jewels. Sneak Peek

As I put together a more proper post outlining a photoshoot from the weekend with local bloggers in conjunction with Silver Daisy (one of my favoriteee little stops in uptown Saint John), I share with you a few snippets taken by my pals on their Iphones. I thought about something that I could blog about and Spring outfits has definitely been constantly in the fore front of my mind for the past few weeks! One thing that I have been so excited to bust out for this Spring is straw hats. I lived in them last summer, and know that it will be the exact same this year. And how excited are you all to wear bright colors these coming months? I love that the bright colors are so in for this year and thought these green pumps add the perfect touch to every outfit! Hi everyone, I'm Anna Jane from the blog See Jane. While Kristin is off on vacation, I'll be providing you with a little post that showcases the outfit that I wore to the Arcade Fire concert last week.  I didn't want to wear my usual (indoor) concert uniform, which almost always consist of denim.  Instead, I wore the brightest pants I own with a sheer, lacy top.  As for the shoes, I changed it up a bit and weared a wedge (but one that's still comfortable enough for dancing) instead of flats, which are most comfortable when you're standing at concerts.

It’s Danielle here from hellodenj! I am so excited that Kristin asked me to fill in for her while she jets off to St. Martin and the Bahamas. I don’t even think I need to say how jealous I am… ok I’m way WAY jealous. I can’t  really complain though – I recently took a trip to Chicago to visit my sisters and had such a great time! 

The city is so beautiful and has an awesome vibe, and let me just say, the shopping in Chicago is insanely good, INSANE people. Luckily we didn’t have all that much time for it or else I’d bequite a few pennies poorer. As for the outfit, I’ve been really into mixing prints lately, and this seemed like a perfect easy combination to explore the city. Stripes, florals, and leopard print all at once? Yes please!
