Thanksgiving (Collages / Recaps)

Weekend 1
Weekend 2

I took a nod from the lovely Alicia in creating these Polyvore sets, as she will often outline appropriate outfits for different occasions. I figured it was a great way to document some of my weekend, though I didn't really wear these exact replicas to all of the outlined events (I wish?).

As you can see, my long weekend had a nice variety of activities. It started with a Saturday morning farmer's market trip - my very favorite of things. Fresh produce, wild flowers, strong lattes, all of the cheeses, and running into friends - all with a gorgeous tree lined street walk to & from - it's pretty much perfection personified. I also finished up my epic closet clean out, sort out (4 bags for women's shelter donation - FOUR!), which left me much more organized & inspired. I attended 2 dinners with both work friends & my roomate's family, went on a woods photowalk, played outside lots & lots, sat by a bonfire for 3 hours, caught up on kitty cuddle time, and made these in my pajamas with all of the coffee & all of the repeats of this album. All in all, the most perfect long weekend I could have asked for. I'm a very thankful girl.

I hope all of my fellow Canadian friends had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend here, there, and everywhere.

Shivering Songs

Shivering Songs
There is a music festival in my fair town this weekend, which is just the thing I need to snap out of a bit of a Winter slump. I decided to put together another Polyvore set together peeking into what I'll be wearing & toting (or, for some items, wish I was wearing) for a weekend of scooting to and from shows & having dates with out of town pals.

1: An oversized blazer with a sequin collar (clearly there'd probably be a blouse under there as well).
2: A bowler hat (on my wishlist) & my Spike the Punch necklace.
3: Levis skinnies. Staple!
4: Fun glasses for both an added accessory & great vision - duh.
5: A cropped knit & a leather circle skirt. So classic.
6: Makeup essentials.. Amazing liquid liner for my new favorite style, the kitten flick (learn how!), staple lipstick shades, and lip conditioners to keep chapped lips away.
7: Wool socks for my toes.

8: Booties!
9: Michael Kors Hamilton Bag - Truly the most perfect oversized bag. It fits everything.
10: Dressed up iPhone, snacks to keep the sugar levels up, and maybe a little flask for .. extra curricular.
11: And finally, a warm wool camel coat to pull over it all

Psst. If you are local, check out details on this great music festival here.

Rhyme or Reason

Rhyme or Reason
A collage made with no rhyme or reason whatsoever.. I've been gearing myself up for a season change just a little bit too early, popping together inspiration from every avenue I can. Collared necklaces, simple shifts in exciting prints, mixed florals, versatile clutches & shoes, and statement piece earrings have me officially over the Winter and ready to move onto warmer temps. I cannot wait for the Spring and I'm looking forward to versions of just about everything featured above. What are you itching to wear this change of season?

Want

These, I want. I want em' all and I want em' now. Perfectly delicate, bright, and versatile, I fancy these Spike the Punch necklaces on Etsy would be the perfect addition to all my striped sweaters & high necked dresses in line for Fall. Hello please, they are even sold out for at least 3-4 weeks due to popular demand. Which one is your favorite?

Club Monaco Fall 2011

I hardly post lookbooks, but from time to time I am fully inspired by one and it feels like it just has to be shared. I stumbled upon the Club Monaco Fall collection last night and found myself screeching (not really..) at each and every look they have put together for the next season. Between the airy chiffon maxi dress & the perfectly placed layers, I am very, very smitten. I am most enamored with the Jane trench in photo #3, which I would desperately love to make mine. Which looks do you like?

Miha Fall Lookbook

Hi friends. Today marks my first "lookbook" post, if you will, so bear with me. I'm not sure how often I will do something of this nature, but I know that I really love it (when done well and with purpose) on other blogs, so I thought I would share some inspiration with you all.

Below are some absolutely gorgeous looks from the Miha Fall 2011 lookbook. I stumbled upon these last week and instantly fell in love with the monochromatic but feminine charm. These looks perfectly mix embellished & structured fabrics with just the right amount of flouncy garnish, and this luxe line has me swooning for a cocktail party right. now. Enjoy!
