Hush Now

Happy Monday. I hope that everyone had either a restoring and restful weekend, or one filled with some spontaneity. I had a bit of both. I fought a nasty flu type thing for the better part of the week and weekend, but found myself coming around just in time for some dates with friends, turkey chili w/ havarti covered yams, and Sunday wandering. Today was cold, and the fact that I made it through these few photos without too much evidence of that is a small success.

I wanted to show you the wonderful boots that I received from Wanted Shoes! They were kind enough to send me off a pair of my choosing, and I'm so glad that I chose these gems. A personal tidbit is as follows: I can never find a pair of boots to fit over my calves, for which I blame the years and years of figure skating, or perhaps the genes from my father's side. Regardless, I've got some big calves for a small girl. These boots fit me perfectly, though, fulfilling my riding boot that can fit straight up over my leg dream. Thank you, Wanted! I just love em'. Excuse their dirtiness - even on their first wear, they got some snow abuse. Welcome to Canada.

I needed a coffee to warm up from the outside, and boy was it life saving. I wish everyone a lovely week. I'm planning on getting lots and lots of work done, hitting the gym after my small flu-related hiatus, and doing some soul searching/resolution making- January is almost over.

The boots look awesome! Such a great basic staple! & the dress totally works belted (this is one that you didn't think you could wear, correct?) - I like it! Photo number one is my favorite, super pretty (aside from photo number 3 of course, bahahaha, but for totally different reasons!)

You look so pretty Kristin. I love your belt. It's girly with the right amount of edge. It's so cold here on the prairies as well. This weather makes my cold, red nose my least favorite accessory ha! I'm so glad you found me on twitter so I could start following your blog. And I'm so glad you did decided to start a blog because your style is truly inspiring!!xx

I love your new boots! I need a pair of new flat black boots since my favorite pair broke in the airport :(

LOVE the boots! I know what you mean about finding ones that fit your calves - my calves are huge! My genius mother stumbled upon a pair of knee-high black boots at PAYLESS of all places that are extra wide calf! Amazing!

Um hi there. You have the cutest pouty face in the world. I like how you capitalize on it as well. Don't ever stop pouting and anything you wear will look like a Sofia Coppolla movie.
