The Long & Short Of It

Outfit 1: Top: Gap / Maxi: Thrifted / Necklace: Vintage / Shoes: Old Navy / Sunnies: Le Chateau / Watch: Guess

Outfit 2:  Top: Gap / Skirt: H&M / Necklace: Vintage / Shoes: Dollhouse / Blazer: Thrifted

I want to live in this cozy plaid top that was lovingly lent to me, and pairing it with a favorite, and slightly unexpected, necklace makes it all the better. Paired with a long maxi for coffee, photo editing, and scooting around for errands, and then with a short (and I mean SHORT - this skirt has become almost a photo-only item somehow) pleated number for something a little more preppy & put together. And then later that night, with Roots sweatpants and my faux fur blanket for a skype date with Candice. A truly transitional piece.

Which is your preference?

I LOVE both outfits!! Such a good idea and so unexpected to dress up a flannel plaid top.

YES! I love this post! You looked so gorg in the maxi outfit in person, I'm so glad it translated perfectly into photo as well! Love the curve of your back/waist/bum in the 2nd photo (I'm gonna sound like a mega creeper to anyone who doesn't know I know you in real life)and the first and last photos are so beautiful of you!

Long! That way you get to rock those wonderful shoes on the bottom. Same color scheme, different pattern. Awesome.

Nailed it. You look absolutely gorgeous in these photos and the outfits are just perfect. You look so effortless and as ease - especially in the maxi version. I love it all oh so much. May I please come and steal your clothing so I can wear it all tomorrow?

Those photos are gorgeous, and I love how you showed this 2 ways. I honestly don't think I could choose a favourite because both are styled to perfection!

I love both of these looks, but for practicality's sake (I'm a practical girl, after all) I prefer the maxi. Stunning photos and perfect accessories.

Aaaah, what a great plaid shirt! I want the red one from J.Crew but I think it's sold out :( This is a great alternative. Love it paired both ways!

I love both ways you've styled this top (and the necklace!) but my favourite is with the maxi skirt!
