Sprees

Dress: Vintage / Blazer: Zara / Watch: Guess / Bracelet: H&M / Sunnies: ASOS / Headband: Unknown / Shoes: Streetwear

One thing I really love about being a part of the Style Panel is that it makes me throw together something completely different each and every weekend. I met up with Kate on this busy Sunday after I decided to ditch the acid wash shorts & spaghetti strap tank top I was sporting for a cleaning & purging spree in order to put on something real. If you follow me on twitter (@dollparade), you would have seen me mention said purging spree, letting the world know that it felt SO GOOD to get rid of some things & organize my life a bit better. Well, my expedition is definitely still in the interim, but it is going well and I am holding strong. Do you ever get the urge to just completely revamp your organizational methods and... life? Tips? Inklings? Hints? Words of the wise?

I get what you mean!
When that moods takes me I thow my entire closet on the bed and piece by piece refold in piles. That way you get a fresh look at what you have, and how much of each thing. And when the closet is empty its so much easier to visualize the space and how to get the most of it.
Then I tidy all the things Im keeping back in the wardrobe, put the goodwill stuff in plastic bags by the door and go back to do another part that needs tidying.
It sounds like a lot, and frankly it is, but the payoff is so refreshing!

Oh my gosh I can totally relate to what wonderful feeling of purging your closet!! I've always lived by the motto of "out with the old, and in with the new." I believe that keeping your home and closet free of clutter is essential to having a clear and organized mind. I try to do a mini-purge every other month or so and I find that it almost has a therapeutic effect. The feeling you get afterwards is amazing, don't you agree?
