Minor Interpretation

Dress: Mustard Seed / Blazer: Zara / Clutch: Vintage / Necklace: Thrifted / Barrette: Vintage / Shoes: ALDO / Sunnies: reNeu Boutique / Watch: Guess

The Great Gatsby comes out this weekend (which I am so very excited about), and with that thought in mind, I pulled together a few pieces that somewhat reminded me of the era, channeling a 20's silhouette. A pleated flapper shift, a big barrette, some pearls, and though it is hard to see, a (faux) snakeskin clutch dressed up with a rhinestone jewelled pin. A pretty minor interpretation, yes, but a fun put together none the less. I actually have this dress in white as well (as you can see here), and plan on getting lots of wear out of both this Summer. So simple & feminine, all at once.

Happy Wednesday.

I am so excited for the movie too! I am currently reading the book and I just love it. Love this Gatsby inspired look as well! That dress is such a classic. You styled it to perfection! xo

Love the stylish looks of the 20's. Cant wait to watch The Great Gatsby, the movie looks great and so does the fashion.

I love this ensemble. Just the right amount of gatsby-esque style without being too over-the-top.

Did you see the actual movie yet? It was so amazing!
